The BackBlast:

After a couple months of playground construction at The Chieftain, we have a freshly upgraded playground thanks to Franconia Township that boasts a nice cushy floor and some new equipment to utilize in a beatdown! 7 HIM gathered in approximately 32 degrees to go check it out and have some fun “At the Playground”.

Warmup – Mosey around the front loop, then meet at the playground to continue the warmup with some exercises that included but not limited to Copperhead Squats (which somehow led to mumble chatter that included discussion of taint tappers), Abe Vigodas, Michael Phelps, SSH, Cobra pose/stretch, childs pose/stretch, Dial up stretch.

The Thang:

Line up in plank position. One at a time, PAX knocks out 5 pullups focusing on quality and form while the rest of the PAX hold plank.

Divide up in 3 groups and then rotate through three stations including:

  1. Swerkins
  2. Calf Raises
  3. V-Ups

Rep count started at 10 for each exercise (at each station) and then decreased by 1 with each round going from 10 all the way down to 1…..for some of us that is. Slogger doesn’t do math well so he just decided to do 10 for all rounds….over achiever or screw-up? YOU decide 🙂

After that work was completed, we did another mosey around the front loop of the park and then met back at the play ground for another round of Pullups (5 each while holding plank).

Quick jog over to the pavillion for some bench work including step ups and bulgarian split squats. Apparently Pinto needs to work on his balance a little….

Then back over to the  playground for some Mary that was kicked off with No Surrenders and also included PAX favorites of Supermans, Big Boys, Box Cutters and Boats/Low Boats.
