Well its been 15 years since I lost my mother suddenly and unexpectedly from an apparent heart attack. She was 55 and I was 24. I still miss her terribly and look forward to when we are united again, both fully healed, where there is no more pain or sorrow.
My mom’s absolute favorite music artist was Billy Joe Royal. I remember going with her to several of his concerts as a kid. She was a seamstress and she even made matching country western style shirts for him and her. His most popular song was Down in the Boondocks and that is the song that started off our all Billy Joe Royal playlist for this mornings workout.
Warmup: Featured some common exercises for warming up, followed by a mosey over to and around the basketball court.
The Thang: 4 Corners style, with a different exercise to make our way around the court and then a specified exercise to perform at each corner with an ascending number of reps at each corner (5, 10, 15, 20)
First Round: Bear Crawls with Mount Climbers at each corner
Mosey lap around the trail around the court.
Second Round: Crab Walks with Squats at each corner
Mosey lap around the trail around the court.
Third Round: Lunge Walks with Big Boy Situps
Mosey lap around the trail around the court.
Head back to the flag to finish off with some Mary.
