The BackBlast:

23 PAX (including 6 FNGs) converged upon The Chieftain (Franconia Community Park, Telford, PA) for the launch of F3 Indian Valley! With HIM representing F3 Princeton, F3 Valley Forge, F3 Lehigh Valley, F3 Philly and F3 Villanova, an absolutely beautiful morning and 6 FNGs anxious to experience their first F3 beatdown, the recipe was just right for a magical morning!

Lowes started off the morning with a welcome, brief history of F3, played a video welcome message from F3 Bing, gave the disclaimer and then handed off the reigns to launch Co-Qs Uptown Girl and Trigger who led the group over to the soccer field to circle up for the Warm-a-rama! Uptown Girl explained how we count cadence and called the exercises while Trigger demonstrated the following:

Side Straddle Hops
Merkins
Monkey Humpers (lots of snickers and laughter from the first time monkey humpers)
Imperial Walkers
Mountain Climbers
Weedpickers
Arm Circles
Circle Arms
Peter Parkers
Flutter Kicks
Abe Vigodas
Next, Trigger led the PAX over to the baseball field where two rows of lovely cones were placed to help us line up and keep our social distance for an Ark Loader!
Bear Crawl Out / Crab Walk Back x3
By the third time back the triceps were definitely burning! Awesome mumble chatter here including Uptown Girl complaining that the line of cones was crooked so his end of the field had a longer distance to go!!
Trigger then led the PAX over to the pavilion for some bench work including:
Step Ups x20
Decline Merkin x10
Dip x10
Step Ups x20
Incline Merkin x10
Dip x10
While moving from the Baseball Field to the Pavilion, we noticed one of Franconia’s Finest parked watching the workout. CSPAN stopped to talk to him, told him about F3 and why were were there, and invited him to come out and tell all of his buddies back at the station that is right next door to the AO! Talk about a Flying EH!!
Trigger then led us on a Mosey back over to the Soccer Field for some additional field work:
Plank
Right Arm Up
Plank
Left Arm Up
One Perfect Merkin
Flutter Kick x10
LBC x10
Plank
Right Arm Up
Plank
Left Arm Up
One Restaurant Quality Merkin
Flutter Kick x10
LBC x10
Uptown shared some inspirational words on the importance of leadership and stepping up to lead in order to keep F3 growing and accomplishing its mission! Then Lowes took over and led the group over to where the F3 Indian Valley shovel flag had been planted out of sight before the workout began for the official unveiling of the shovel flag and the AO name, The Chieftain. The brief flag ceremony included the back story on why every F3 workout has a shovel flag, how it reminds us of the freedoms we get to enjoy and the men and women serving in our military defending those freedoms, and therefore the care and respect we will show to OUR shovel flag! CSPAN then did the honors of carrying the shovel flag over to the circle up location where the other regions’ shovel flags were already planted where it could join them!
Circling back up on the basketball court and with a few minutes left for some Mary we did a round robin going around the circle with each PAX calling out an exercise some of which included Dying Cockroaches, World War II Sit-ups, Crunchy Frogs, Box Cutters, Australian Angels, Supermans, Dos Chills and ending with Boats and Canoes led by Black Hole of F3 Princeton! And that was how the launch of F3 Indian Valley went down!

COT: Treat others how you want to be treated. But don’t just stop there. If you see or hear someone else being mistreated, don’t be silent and let it continue. Speak up and call the person out on how what they are doing or saying is wrong.
Big thanks to all of the HIM from surrounding areas that came out to support the launch and thanks to F3 Princeton for the gift of orange cones and to F3 Lehigh Valley for the signed Q Source book!
Aye! See you in the Indian Valley gloom!
