The BackBlast:
7 HIM met in the cool Chieftain gloom for a Pinto led “Quacking Circle of Pain” beatdown. “Quacking” because in the second round of exercises, PAX were instructed to duck walk between stations. Extra credit was given for PAX with the best duck call during the walk; all PAX agree that slogger makes the best animal sounds. We even heard an elephant sound in there at some point during the beatdown. This morning our brother from down range Element posted with us, which is always awesome!

The Thang:
PAX met by the shovel flag. 9 cones were laid in a circle, and each PAX posted at a cone. A timer was started on YHC’s phone that called out one minute of exercise and 30 seconds of rest. During the exercise PAX were to complete one full minute of that exercise. During the rest period PAX transitioned to the next cone. During the first round PAX transitioned between cones using bear crawl. Each cone was labeled as follows:
- Merkin
- Overhead Press
- Alternating Shoulder Tap
- Big Boy Sit-Up
- Burpee
- Bobby Hurley
- Curls for the Girls
- Forward Lunge (Alternating Legs)
- Squats
After all PAX had completed a full round and returned to their original cone, all PAX took a mosey together. Upon return PAX rinse and repeated one more time, but this time duck walking between cones. This only left a few minutes for Mary, so YHC led the PAX in some flutter kicks.
Count-O-Rama, Name-O-Rama and COT were all conducted
During the beatdown DoubleD called out that we should have “Ring of Fire” on loop. Studel called out the fire in our eyes during the photo. A little more light at the end of each beatdown now, temperatures are slowly rising.
