The BackBlast:
YHC had been fortunate enough to Co-Q the launch of the Chieftain with Uptown Girl. I saw this as an opportunity to check back in on the men of Indian Valley and run an Andre Agassi themed beat down. Andre Agassi’s story is one of risk, reward, set back and redemption. He also sports a hair style very similar to mine. During the Thang, I sprinkled in details of his life to keep the chatter rolling and to distract from the discomfort.
We started with a the welcome and disclaimer and then circled up for a warm up. Warm up consisted of arm circles, circle arms, side straddle hops and imperial walkers. Each warm up exercise was followed by 5 merkins in cadence.
From there we moseyed to the tennis courts. The Chieftain is a beautifully appointed park and the men of the Indian Valley will have many different ways to accelerate their fitness. There are two tennis courts laid out side by side, which makes them perfect for Andre Agassi heart chargers. We used the four doubles sidelines as the lines for our Andre Agassis. Each Andre Agassi was preceded by a series of 10 reps of each of a different merkin, core exercise and leg exercise. We managed to get 10 sets in with two stops for chair sits against the tennis court fence and one stop for BTTW. The merkin styles performed were crucible, wide grip, ranger, diamond, flying offset, hands free, Hindu, inchworm, hands free and plain old merkins. Variety is a the spice of life.
The pax moseyed back to basketball courts for some plank-arama with a few restaurant quality merkins thrown in and then a 6MOM featuring 70 flutter kicks in cadence waterfall. Good times.
