The BackBlast:
8 HIM met in the Indian Valley Gloom for a Pinto led “These are a Few of My Least Favorite Things” beatdown featuring some of YHC’s least favorite exercises. They’re only my least favorite because I need to get better at them, and I felt that if I should get better at them that we all should get better at them.
The Disclaimer was Given …

The Thang:
PAX Moseyed over to the playground equipment. Two at a time PAX completed 10 Pull-Ups while the other PAX held Plank. PAX then Moseyed along the trail for a bit until YHC halted them to complete 25 Squats IC. PAX then continued the Mosey for a bit longer; then were halted again for a series of 10 Merkins IC. PAX then continued their Mosey along the trail for a bit longer until they were halted again at-which point the PAX did 20 Forward Lunges IC.
PAX were then lead down the far parking lot to the hill/driveway leading up to that park. At the bottom YHC demonstrated a restaurant quality Burpee as a demonstration. PAX then partnered up and commenced Burpback Mountain (One PAX completing Burpees while the other did Bernie Sanders up the hill to the Pavilion, then Moseying back to the bottom of the hill, picking up the count off the other PAX and switching off. This continued until each team of PAX had completed 100 combined Burpees.
PAX them moseyed back to the original Allentown Rd. parking lot where only a few minutes were left for some Mary. For Strudel’s benefit PAX completed 20 Box Cutters IC and did 1 Minute of Pickle Pounders (these had my abs singing after last Wednesday’s beatdown and I needed to incorporate them into mine).
COT:
Congrats to the BRR PA/NJ Team! Congrats to PAX with exciting career developments. Prayers for those specified in the COT for the betterment of health and family.
Welcome FNG Strap-On. A professional software engineer and father that has a side hustle selling straps and tie-downs (get your minds out of the gutter).
Thoughts On This Beatdown:
“We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too.” ~ President John F. Kennedy
In our own little way; each beatdown we get to go to the moon. PAX got up and they pushed!
