The BackBlast:

As a preview for fall weather, it was a brisk Gloom. 4 PAX went on a nice long mosey. In what may be an Arrowhead first, all PAX finished with distances above 5 miles (with only one minor-injury to show for it).

  • Starting from the flag, we took the path through the baseball fields, out across Kulp Rd.
  • After crossing over West Branch Skippack Creek, we made a right to continue on the path.
  • At the dead-end we made a right up toward Main Street near Sammy Bullfrog’s.
  • We crossed Main street and continued down the path toward Alderfer Park (home of The Warrior).
  • We ran through the park and exited on Oak Ridge Ln toward Moyer, making a left.
  • We took Moyer on a long straightaway stretch all the way back out to Main Street, making a left.
  • We stayed on Main street for about 200 yds before picking up the trail at Sammy Bullfrog’s and heading back the way we came.

The run took about 53 minutes, and PAX were a mix of dead tired, and oddly energized.

It was on our long Moyer Rd stretch, where Pinto hit a pothole (there is a Pinto explosion joke in there somewhere). Minor injuries, and Pinto continued like a champ!

Total distance between 5.15 and 5/45 miles.
